Adsterra traffic,down to the placement

The Adsterra template captures the click ID, Adsterra's price for each click and 10 details such as zone, placement, OS and city. When an offer converts, ClickFlare posts it to pbterra.com with the payout, so Adsterra's CPA bidding and your stats agree.

Find the Adsterra placements that earn

Zone and placement in one report

zoneid and placement land in their own columns, so you see which publisher sites convert and can blacklist or bid up zones in Adsterra.

Payout for CPA bidding

The postback sends atpay={payout}, so Adsterra bids on real revenue and shows it in your Adsterra stats.

Validate before you spend

Adsterra checks your campaign URL and runs a test conversion. A VALID status means the click ID made the round trip.

How an Adsterra click becomes a VALID conversion

Adsterra opens your campaign URL with the click ID in subid and the click price in cost. ClickFlare stores the click ID as the External ID. When the offer converts, ClickFlare sends it back to Adsterra in subid_short with the payout.
  • subid in the URL, subid_short in the postback
  • Up to 3 events: event1, event2, event3
  • Turn on Multievents in Adsterra Statistics

Connected in four steps

You need an Adsterra advertiser account and its username, your own tracking domain and an offer in ClickFlare.
  1. Add the Adsterra traffic source In the campaign editor, click + New Traffic Source and pick the Adsterra template. It fills in the click ID, cost and 10 tracking macros.
  2. Put your username in the postback Turn on Traffic source postback URL and replace CHANGENAME with your Adsterra username. Compare it with the With payout URL from Adsterra's Conversion tracking page, using Custom as the tracker.
  3. Copy the campaign URL Set the cost model to Not Tracked so ClickFlare uses the price Adsterra passes. Add your offer, save and copy the campaign URL from your own domain.
  4. Launch and run a test conversion Paste the URL into your Adsterra campaign. In Conversion tracking, validate the URL, make a test conversion and wait for VALID. Then check Logs → Postback Status.
