TaurusX Web Promotion, optimized on your real events
ClickFlare's TaurusX template captures the click ID plus campaign, ad group, creative, device, OS, language and country macros on each click. Conversions go back to pb.taurusx.com as named API events with payout, so TaurusX CPA bidding learns from the same conversions you see.

Events TaurusX can optimize on
Each postback names an event_name from your TaurusX API event, such as purchase, so the ad group's optimization event gets every conversion.
Reports at the levels you control
Ad group and creative macros map to the levels you manage in TaurusX: ad groups hold targeting and bid, creatives rotate inside them.
Funnel steps as separate events
Send registration and purchase as their own postbacks, each mapped to a ClickFlare custom conversion, then pick which one TaurusX bids on.

From TaurusX click to named API event
TaurusX fills __CLICK_ID__ into click_id on the click. ClickFlare stores it as the External ID. On conversion, ClickFlare calls pb.taurusx.com with that ID, your event name and the payout as event_value.

Setup
Connected in five steps
You need a TaurusX account with an API event created, a ClickFlare account with your own tracking domain, and an offer.
Create an API event in TaurusX In Assets > Events, click Manage under API Events, then Create API Event. Select the events to track and note their exact names.
Add the TaurusX traffic source In the campaign editor, click + New Traffic Source and pick the TaurusX template. Delete the leading space in the Ad Group Id token so it reads __AID__.
Set the event name in the postback Turn on Traffic source postback URL and replace REPLACE with your TaurusX event name, for example purchase. Map it to the matching ClickFlare event.
Finish the campaign Set the Cost Model to CPA or CPC, since the Cost row is empty. Add lander and offer, save, and copy the campaign URL from your own tracking domain.
Create a Web Promotion ad group In TaurusX, choose Web Promotion, set Web as the target and your API event as the optimization event. Paste the campaign URL into Landing Page URL.
